Countryside Riddle

Hello all!

I prepared my September blog before I went on holiday, but because of what happened to me, I am putting up something else! Watch out! And let me know what you think…… (answer next time)

When you’re in the country,
in a grass or in a wood,
I may be there waiting
to catch my lunch – oh that I could!

If your arms or legs are bare
or you’re walking in a dress,
my task will be so easy
just a doddle, more or less!

For I’m a lovely jumper,
and I also creep and crawl
if there is a chance of blood,
– the slightest chance at all!

For blood I simply have to have
I need blood to survive.
And while I suck, I spit out germs,
I like it – I’m alive!

The climate’s getting warmer,
that’s really good for me.
We die less in the winter
– there’ll be more of us, you’ll see!

Now that you have listened,
just tell me what’s my name.
If you don’t know, don’t worry
I’ll tell you all the same.

(The answer will be at the end of the next post)

After many years working as a clinical psychologist in the NHS, I became an author. My years as a mother and grandmother gave me plenty of practice telling children stories. I have become very interested in dinosaurs and animals, and I really enjoy rhymes and riddles!
